Benjamin Asare was key to maintaining the goalless draw against England

Ghana goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has been ranked the sixth-best goalkeeper at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in FIFA's latest power rankings.

The Hearts of Oak goalkeeper received a rating of 7.61, placing him among the tournament's highest-rated shot-stoppers. He had previously occupied fifth place before Portugal's Diogo Costa moved ahead after earning a rating of 7.73 following his performance against Colombia.

The current top-ranked goalkeepers are:

- Orlando Gill (Paraguay) – 8.10

- Gregor Kobel (Switzerland) – 8.05

- Alireza Beiranvand (Iran) – 7.81

- Diogo Costa (Portugal) – 7.73

- Mostafa Mohamed (Egypt) – 7.62

- Benjamin Asare (Ghana) – 7.61

- Eloy Room (Curaçao) – 7.55

- Vozinha (Cape Verde) – 7.39

- Mohammed Al-Owais (Saudi Arabia) – 7.39

Asare has featured prominently for the Black Stars during the tournament, keeping a clean sheet in Ghana's 1-0 win over Panama and making a number of important saves in the matches against England and Croatia.

Ghana will face Colombia in the round of 32 on 3 July, with Asare expected to play a key role as the Black Stars seek a place in the next round.
