CAF Awards 2024: Mohammed Kudus on CAF-FIFPRO Africa Men's Best XI list
After his spectacular performance in the 2023/2024 year with West Ham United and Black Stars, Ghanaian international midfielder Mohammed Kudus has earned a place on the CAF-FIFPRO Africa Men’s Best XI list.
This was announced during the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards 2024 in Marrakech, Morocco.
Named among Mohammed Salah (Egypt), Achraf Hakimi (Morocco), Sofyan Amrabat (Morocco), Kalidou Koulibaly (Senegal), Yves Bissouma (Mali), Chancel Mbemba (DR Congo), Andre Onana (Cameroon), Franck Kessie (Cote d’Ivoire), Victor Osimhen (Nigeria) and 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year Ademola Lookman (Nigeria), Kudus was the only Ghanaian on the list.
For the year under review, Kudus played 48 games, scored 18 goals and recorded seven assists in all competitions for The Hammers. Furthermore, he is a FIFA Puskas nominee for one of two goals he scored against Freiburg in the Europa League.
For the Black Stars, Kudus, 24, scored two goals in two games and was honoured as the Man of the Match in both games he played at the 2023 Cote d’Ivoire Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
