The ban is as a result of two of the Black Maiden’s players Rasheeda Shahadu and Nanacy Amoh allegedly falsifying their birth information.
The 2, have been accused of being above age 17.
According to the GFA, in a statement on its website, Monday, 4 July 2022, it received a “disciplinary decision from CAF concerning a protest filed against two of our U17 players in a controversial World Cup Qualifiers second leg played against Morocco in Rabat.”
The “GFA sent a written defence to CAF which was not considered. The GFA will study the full decision and respond with a written appeal accordingly,” it disclosed.
Morocco filed the protest following a 2-0 defeat in the first leg in the U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
