Final nominees announced for 2024 CAF awards
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the final nominees for the 2024 CAF Awards ahead of the prestigious ceremony scheduled for December 16, 2024, at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco.
The annual awards celebrate outstanding performances by African footballers over the past year, with the Men’s Player of the Year and Women’s Player of the Year being the headline categories.
Men’s Player of the YearFive exceptional players remain in contention for the Men’s Player of the Year title, each having delivered remarkable performances on the global stage:
Simon Adingra (Ivory Coast, Brighton & Hove Albion): The talented winger has impressed in Europe’s top leagues with his consistent displays. Serhou Guirassy (Guinea, Borussia Dortmund): The prolific striker has had an incredible year, showcasing his goal-scoring prowess. Achraf Hakimi (Morocco, Paris Saint-Germain): The dynamic right-back continues to be a vital player for club and country. Ronwen Williams (South Africa, Mamelodi Sundowns): The only goalkeeper in the race, Williams has stood out with his commanding performances.
