Ghana’s Mohammed Salisu now a Saint

Ghanaian centre-back Mohammed Salisu has completed an anticipated move from Real Valladolid to Southampton.
The 21-year-old has agreed a four-year deal with the Saints.
Southampton triggered the £10.9 million release clause of the defender, who agreed to move to the Saint Mary's Park.
After completing his medical weeks ago, the deal has finally been done.
The Ghanaian will have to undergo a 14-day quarantine once he arrives in the UK from Spain due to coronavirus preventive measures, Class Sports can confirm.
The Ghanaian defender enjoyed a breakthrough season with the La Liga club, Real Valladolid, playing 31 games and scoring a goal for the Purple and Whites.
Salisu becomes Southampton’s first signing in the transfer window, joining Ralph Hasenhüttl‘s team for next season.
The Saints have enjoyed a spirited end to the season with points from their games since the restart.
Hasenhüttl will be hoping the Ghanaian centre-back will add more solidity to his defensive set-up going into the new season.
