Hasaacas ladies executives call on GFA president

Meeting with GFA executives

Executives of Sekondi Hasaacas on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, called on President of the Ghana Football Association Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku at the headquarters in Accra.

The visit was to officially inform the GFA President of their participation in the maiden CAF Women’s club Champions League and to solicit for support.

The Hasaacas team was led by President of the club – Nana Banyin Eyison, CEO Evelyn Nsiah Asare, Brands Manager, Ohene Bampoe Brenya and Executive Director Jones Alhassan Abu.

‘’We are here to inform you that Hasaacas Ladies will need your support during our maiden Champions League campaign’’ CEO Nsiah-Asare said.

‘’Administratively and financially, we cannot underestimate the role of the GFA as we would need it to keep us afloat. It feels good to represent Ghana in the competition and it is worth mentioning that your support will be needed in this very moment.

‘’Our target is to win the WAFU championship in Ivory Coast and go on to win the main competition in Morocco.

‘’We promise to make Ghana proud’’ she added

President Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku led the GFA team. Others included, Deputy General Secretary Alex Asante, Chief of Staff, Michael Osekere and Director of Communications Henry Asante Twum.

For his part, President Simeon-Okraku thanked Hasaacas Ladies for accepting to represent the nation in the continental showpiece.

‘’I must confess that I was pleasantly surprised when you confirmed your participation in the competition’’ President Simeon-Okraku told the Executives.

‘’You can be rest assured that the GFA will give you the needed support to excel in this competition.

‘’We do not really mind granting you access to the Ghanaman centre of Excellence in Pampram to camp your players ahead of the tournament.

‘’We have absolute confidence in you and can only wish you success in the tournament’’ President Simeon-Okraku added

The WAFU Zone B edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League will be staged in Abidjan, Ivory Coast from July 15-30, 2021.
