Hundreds take part in Ho FM's 5th annual walk for a healthy society

Hundreds of participants gathered on Saturday, 21st December 2024, for the 5th edition of the annual Ho Walk, organised by Ho FM 92.5 MHz.
The walk, themed "Let's Walk for a Healthy Society," aimed to promote peace, unity, and healthy living across the Volta Region.
The walk began at the Ho FM office junction at 6:30 AM and made its way through the principal streets of the Ho enclave, ending at Jubilee Park, where local performances, including Borborbor and Zibo dances, entertained participants. The event saw significant participation from traditional leaders and security agencies, including the Ghana Fire Service and Ghana Prison Service, who provided security throughout the walk. Togbe Ahorgo I, Manager of Ho FM, reaffirmed the station's commitment to fostering a healthy society and holding the government and stakeholders accountable for development. He also encouraged participants to look forward to the upcoming “Duagbe Tour.” Dr. ACFO 1 Prince Billy Anaglate, Oti Regional Commander of the Ghana Fire Service, urged Ghanaians to be vigilant during the Harmattan season, avoid bushfires, and switch off electrical appliances when leaving home. Participants expressed their appreciation for Ho FM’s initiative, with some receiving electrical appliances as prizes from event sponsor Sika Akyedia. Ho FM’s management also took the opportunity to thank all sponsors for their support in making the event a success.
