MP takes over shares in Baffour Soccer Academy
The Member of Parliament for Sunyani East Constituency in the Bono Region, Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh, has acquired shares in Baffour Soccer Academy to become its new owner.
The football academy located at Nsuatre (Twumasi Krom) in the Bono Region plays in the division league organised by Ghana Football Association (GFA).
A joint statement on the details of the takeover is expected to be issued in the coming days by the new owner and the former owner, Mr Ignatious Baffour Awuah, the MP for Sunyani West and Minister for Employment and Labour Relations.
The MP who is also the Board Chairman of Bui Power Authority and a member of the ECOWAS Parliament and serves on the Trade, Customs and Free Movement Committee said in a remark that the new management of the academy will focus on grooming talents from the region
