N/R: Free Licence D coaching course for colts coaches set for July 23-30

The Free Licence D Coaching Course for colts club coaches is set to start in the Northern Region.
The week-long programme will run from Tuesday, July 23 to Tuesday, July 30, 2025, at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in regional capital Tamale.
This training forms part of the Ghana Football Association’s nationwide initiative to enhance grassroots football development by equipping juvenile (colts) coaches with modern coaching techniques, safety principles, and child development knowledge.
The course is provided free of charge, reaffirming the association’s commitment to accessible coaching education.
Participants will benefit from both classroom-based theoretical instruction and on-field practical sessions delivered by certified CAF/GFA instructors. The curriculum will cover essential areas including grassroots coaching philosophy, football tactics, injury prevention, game management, and player development at the youth level.
Upon successful completion of the course, coaches will be awarded the CAF/GFA Licence D Certificate, officially qualifying them to coach at the juvenile level within the Ghana football structure.
The NRFA has encouraged all eligible colts clubs to take advantage of this unique opportunity to upgrade their coaching staff. This initiative is expected to raise the standard of youth coaching in the Northern Region and play a key role in the long-term growth of football talent in Ghana.
This will be the second edition of the free coaching course in the region after a successful edition last year at the same venue.
