The Ministry of Youth and Sports has directed the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the National Sports Authority (NSA) to strictly enforce the COVID-19 protocols in all league matches.

The statement continued: “We wish to remind all stakeholders, particularly the general public, that the government's directive on 25% attendance limitation is still in force at all the stadia for all category of professional league games in the country until otherwise directed".
“We have noted the violation of the 25% restriction and other COVID-19 protocols at some league matches in recent times”.

“The National Sports Authority has been further directed to, in collaboration with the security services, ensure that fans do not mass up at the entrance of match venues to force their way into the stadium. To ensure this, the GFA should ensure that tickets are sold in advance,” the statement added.
The statement, therefore, indicated that the ministry “will not hesitate to order the immediate closure of any facility where compliance is flouted with the COVID-19 protocols, especially the 25% attendance restriction”.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association has announced that tickets for the game will go on sale on Friday, 25 June 2021 and Saturday, 26 June at selected outlets.
