A/R: Adum PZ Fire victims receive GH¢150,000 support from Ashanti Regional parliamentary Caucus

Traders affected by the recent fire outbreak at Adum PZ in Kumasi have received financial support from the Ashanti Regional Parliamentary Caucus to help them recover from the devastating incident.
Led by members of the Caucus and joined by Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, the MPs donated GH¢150,000 to the victims during a visit to the scene.
The Caucus expressed its solidarity with the affected traders and assured them of continued support until all damaged shops are rebuilt and trading activities fully resume.
Member of Parliament for Atwima Kwanwoma, Kofi Amankwa-Manu, reaffirmed the Caucus’ commitment to standing by the traders throughout the recovery process.
“We recognize your dedication in providing for your families through trade, and we are here to support you during this difficult period,” he said.
Chairman Wontumi called on the government to extend soft loans to the affected traders, similar to relief packages provided to victims of past fire incidents in Keta and Kantamanto.
“These traders deserve the same compassion and assistance.
We appeal to the government to offer financial relief to help them recover and rebuild their livelihoods,” he emphasized.
Mr Kofi Obri Yeboah, MP for Subin, also highlighted the importance of redeveloping the Adum market into a safer and more resilient space.
He acknowledged the hardships faced by the trading community and pledged the Caucus’ dedication to positive transformation.
He further expressed gratitude to individuals and organizations who have offered support to the victims of the fire at Blue Light in Adum, urging continued cooperation in rebuilding the lives and businesses affected.
