BA flight from Heathrow to Accra cancelled over excess luggage
A British Airways flight from Heathrow to Accra was, on Monday, 29 November 2021, cancelled due to excess luggage of Ghanaian passengers.
The passengers, who were scheduled to travel aboard the flight, disclosed that the airline cancelled the flight as Ghanaians were carrying two carry-on bags including laptop bags on the flight.
For the past few weeks, the airline has experienced delays in taking off from Heathrow due to excess luggage carried by Ghanaians.
An advertisement on the airline’s website, however, offers passengers to carry two items of cabin baggage.
It states: “Handbags or laptop-sized bags are guaranteed to travel in the cabin as hand baggage. On busy flights, you may be asked to check in your larger cabin bag”.
The flight has since been rescheduled to Tuesday, 30 November 2021 at 11 am.
