Cocoa farmers across Ghana are set to receive higher earnings for their beans following a fresh upward adjustment in the producer price for the remainder of the 2025/26 cocoa season.

The new rates, which take effect from Friday, February 13, 2026, will apply to all cocoa purchases nationwide for the rest of the crop year, according to a statement issued to the Ghana News Agency (GNA).

Under the revised structure, the producer price has been increased to GH¢41,392.00 per tonne. At the buying centres, farmers will be paid GH¢1,241.76 per load for 30 kilogrammes of Grade I and II cocoa beans, measured naked ex-scale.

The update also sets the approved price for a standard 64-kilogramme bag, gross weight, at GH¢2,587.00.

With a tonne equivalent to 16 bags, the total value per tonne now amounts to GH¢41,392.00, reflecting the enhanced returns expected for producers during the remaining months of the season.

The adjustment is aimed at ensuring farmers benefit more directly from cocoa sales as the 2025/26 crop year progresses.
