Fire guts parts of Kantamanto Market
Kantamanto Market has been gutted by fire.
The blaze started Tuesday dawn (29 November 2022).
The cause of the fire is not immediately known.
Officers from the Ghana National Fire Service have been battling the fire since dawn but at the time of this report, they had managed to prevent the inferno from spreading further.
The fire officers complained about some difficulty in accessing the market.
Kantamanto is a market area situated in the central business district of Accra.
Goods worth millions of cedis have been destroyed.
