Free Zone Association engages GFZA CEO to strengthen collaboration

The Free Zone Association has engaged the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Dr. Mary Awusi, in a strategic meeting aimed at enhancing collaboration and boosting the effectiveness of Ghana’s free zones.
The meeting, held on Friday, March 14, served as an opportunity for the Association’s executives to introduce themselves to the newly appointed CEO and explore ways to align their efforts with national development goals.
During discussions, Dr. Awusi encouraged the Association’s members to take full advantage of the government’s 24-hour economy initiative, which seeks to optimize productivity and business efficiency across various sectors.
In response, the Association proposed a meeting between the 24-hour economy secretariat and Free Zone enterprises to gain deeper insights into the initiative’s framework and explore ways to maximize its benefits for their businesses.
Reaffirming the GFZA’s commitment to supporting Free Zone enterprises, Dr. Awusi highlighted the Authority’s dedicated aftercare unit, which assists businesses in resolving operational challenges and improving efficiency.
The Free Zone Association’s delegation was led by Chairman Olivier Chassang and included Secretary Amanda Gadzekpo and other key members.
Representing the GFZA were the Director of Corporate Affairs & PR, Mrs. Patience Agbleze Acorlor, and the Director of Administration, Mr. Ziblim Alhassan.
The meeting marks a significant step toward fostering stronger collaboration between the GFZA and Free Zone enterprises, with a shared vision of enhancing industrial growth and economic development in Ghana.
