Ghana, Czech Republic strengthen ties at Czech-Ghana Business Forum

President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with the Czech Republic, with a focus on expanding cooperation in trade, industry, investment, and technological innovation.
Speaking at the opening of the Czech-Ghana Business Forum in Accra, President Mahama welcomed visiting Czech President, H.E. Petr Pavel, and highlighted the immense potential for mutually beneficial partnerships between the two nations.
The forum forms part of President Pavel’s three-day state visit to Ghana.
President Mahama emphasized that Ghana is eager to deepen collaboration in key sectors, particularly agriculture, healthcare, and water resource management.
He noted that strategic alliances in these areas are essential for driving sustainable development and enhancing economic resilience.
“There is vast potential for cooperation between Ghana and the Czech Republic.
We are committed to building strong partnerships that will yield lasting economic and social benefits for both countries,” President Mahama stated.
President Petr Pavel, in his remarks, praised Ghana’s democratic progress and growing economy.
He expressed optimism about the future of Czech-Ghana relations and affirmed his government’s readiness to explore new avenues of cooperation.
“This visit is a testament to the Czech Republic’s commitment to deepening our ties with Ghana.
We see a strong future of collaboration that benefits our peoples,” President Pavel said.
The Czech-Ghana Business Forum is expected to run throughout the week, providing a platform for business leaders, investors, and policymakers from both countries to engage in dialogue and explore new investment opportunities.
The forum underscores a shared vision of advancing economic cooperation and marks a significant step toward building a stronger, more dynamic partnership between Ghana and the Czech Republic
