Ghana Gas denies involvement in alleged inflated property purchase
Ghana National Gas Limited Company (Ghana Gas) has dismissed reports alleging that its current management acquired a property at No. 225 Osibisa Close, Airport West, Accra, at an inflated price.
In a statement, the company described the publications as false and misleading, insisting that the current management had no involvement in the acquisition of the property.
According to Ghana Gas, the property was purchased under the previous administration and was later cited in the Auditor-General's 2024 Report, which raised concerns about the transaction.
The company also disclosed that the matter is currently being investigated by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and other relevant state investigative bodies.
Ghana Gas said it is fully cooperating with the investigations and expressed confidence that the facts would confirm that the current management played no role in the acquisition.
The company urged the media and the public to disregard what it described as false claims and to verify information before publishing or sharing it.
It reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, good corporate governance and the prudent management of public resources.
