'It's a rumour that has taken root but not from us' – Société Generale on alleged Ghana exit
French bank Société Générale has said "rumours" that it is packing out of Ghana did not emanate from its fold.
At its 44th Annual General Meeting, the bank's Managing Director, Mr Hakim Ouzzani, said: “Some rumours have indeed taken root regarding SG Ghana".
"But it’s important to mention to all our stakeholders and our shareholders that the news item being circulated in the media was not issued by the group nor by SG Ghana", he added.
"We don’t want to comment further", he said stressing: "But really, I insist on the papers is not by SG. It is not by SG".
