TDC unveils tech-driven transformation to boost affordable housing delivery, improve customer care
The Managing Director of Tema Development Company (TDC) Ghana Limited, Courage Nunekpeku, has announced a major transformation agenda aimed at repositioning the state-owned housing developer as a more efficient, technology-driven institution focused on delivering affordable and sustainable housing for Ghanaians.
Speaking at TDC’s 5th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Tema, held to review the company’s performance for the 2024 financial year and assess progress made between 2020 and 2024, Mr Nunekpeku said the company is redefining its operations after more than 70 years in Ghana’s housing sector.
He said TDC is expanding its service portfolio to improve customer experience and operational efficiency. The new services include premium services, courier services, a 24-hour call centre, and a business centre, all intended to modernise service delivery and respond to changing customer needs.
“TDC is transforming into a more efficient, tech-driven institution focused on delivering affordable, sustainable housing for Ghanaians,” he stated.
Mr Nunekpeku noted that innovation and impactful developments are central to the company’s strategy, with the expansion of affordable housing identified as a key priority.
He disclosed that TDC has secured the required clearance from Municipal Finance and the Public Procurement Authority for the affordable housing project and is currently at the award stage, paving the way for implementation.
He expressed confidence that the new initiatives will strengthen TDC’s contribution to Ghana’s housing agenda while improving accessibility and service delivery for customers.
