TDC unveils vision for Oxygen City development in Ho
The Managing Director of TDC Ghana Limited, Mr. Courage K. M. Nunekpeku, has unveiled the vision for Oxygen City, a flagship mixed-use development being undertaken at Agbokofe in the Ho Municipality of the Volta Region.
The project, which spans about 1,000 acres along the Ho–Denu Road near the Ho Airport, is designed to serve as a transformational national development rather than a conventional housing scheme.
Mr. Nunekpeku disclosed this at a high-level event attended by President John Dramani Mahama, Togbe Afede XIV, the Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources, the Volta Regional Minister, the Municipal Chief Executive, traditional leaders, members of the TDC Board, and development partners.
According to the Managing Director, Oxygen City will comprise serviced plots, affordable residential apartments, commercial and business districts, an industrial park, a health tourism facility, and a landmark 18-hole golf course.
These components will be supported by modern, resilient and environmentally sustainable infrastructure.
He explained that the project aligns strongly with government development priorities, including the reset agenda and efforts to strengthen the Volta Corridor as a key economic zone.
Mr. Nunekpeku added that the development is already generating employment opportunities for the surrounding host communities.
Reaffirming TDC’s strategic direction, he noted that the company remains committed to expanding development beyond Tema, while continuing responsible redevelopment initiatives within Tema to maximise land use and economic value.
Mr. Nunekpeku concluded his address by calling for strong collaboration among government, traditional authorities, the private sector and the youth, stressing that inclusive and sustainable development can only be achieved through partnerships.
