VAT: GRA busts 2 branch managers of Melcom

Two managers at different branches of popular retail shop, Melcom, have been arrested by the revenue protection taskforce from the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) over failure to issue VAT invoices on some items sold to customers.
The managers are from Kasoa and the Achimota branch respectively.
The two were busted today, Wednesday, 1 February 2023.
This brings to nine, the number of shop managers arrested so far in the GRA’s operation to enforce tax compliance.
The community 25 branch manager of Palace Mall, Manager of the Spintex road branch of China Mall, manager of Sneda Mall on Spintex Road have all been busted for similar offence.
