2025 Kempinski Staff Excellence Awards: Sustainable tourism hinges on clean environment — Abla Dzifa Gomashie
The Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts (MoTCCA), Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has highlighted the link between sustainable tourism development in Ghana and improved sanitation as well as environmental responsibility.
Speaking at the 7th Kempinski Staff Excellence Awards, she urged hospitality institutions to champion cleanliness not only within their facilities but also in surrounding communities, stressing that a clean environment significantly enhances visitor experience.
She commended Kempinski for its commitment to service excellence and reaffirmed the government’s dedication, under the Black Star Experience initiative, to strengthening skills development, destination branding and inclusive growth within the tourism sector.
The first female General Manager of Kempinski, Silvia Rajniak, expressed appreciation to staff for consistently exceeding expectations and upholding high professional standards. She noted that the hotel’s success over the past decade has been driven by the selfless dedication and unwavering commitment of its workforce.
