Accra FM's Ayekoo Ayekoo, host Nana Romeo nominated for 2023 Ghana Entertainment Awards USA
Radio station Accra FM and its on-air talent Nana Romeo have earned nominations for this year's Ghana Entertainment Awards (GEA) USA.
Nana Romeo stands the chance to win the Best Radio Personality, Male, award.
He is competing with Andy Dosty, NY DJ, DJ Slim, Hammer Nti, Okyeame Quophi, and Fiifi Prat.
Again, the weekday mid-morning show Ayekoo Ayekoo on Accra 100.5 FM stands the chance to be declared the Best Entertainment Radio Show for the year under review.
Ayekoo Ayekoo, Mon - Fri, 10 AM to 12 Noon, is hosted by Nana Romeo, with a focus on motivation and celebrity interviews. The radio programme can be enjoyed on Class Media Group's (CMG) Accra 100.5 FM.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Entertainment Awards (GEA-USA) for its fifth anniversary will honour notable accomplishments of Ghanaian creatives in Ghana, the United States and Canada, in music, dance, media, poetry, comedy, among others, as its purview.
The event which will be held at Merkin Hall, Kaufman Music Center, New York, on Saturday, 1 July, 2023, offers a platform to promote the diverse and acclaim talents of Ghanaians on an international scale.
Rappers Sarkodie and Black Sherif, recently named Artist of the Year at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, lead this year’s nominees, having been shortlisted in three categories each.
Other notable nominees include Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and King Promise, all of whom secured two nods each.
The nominees for the annual GEA-USA were unveiled last weekend.
