Blackstar experience partners South Africa’s Arts Council to deepen cultural exchange

The Blackstar Experience Secretariat has taken a bold step to strengthen Ghana’s cultural diplomacy by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Arts Council of South Africa (NACSA).
The agreement, signed under the leadership of the Chief Executive Officer of the Blackstar Experience Secretariat, Rex Owusu Marfo, popularly known as Rex Omar, aims to deepen cultural collaboration between the two countries.
The partnership will facilitate cultural exchange programmes, joint festivals, skills development, and the promotion of African creative arts on the global stage.
Officials say it is a strategic move to position Ghana and South Africa as leading cultural hubs on the continent.
Rex Omar emphasised that the MoU marks a significant milestone in the Blackstar Experience’s mission to celebrate and project Ghanaian culture while building strong pan-African linkages.
The Blackstar Experience Secretariat is spearheading initiatives that showcase Ghana’s music, film, fashion, and creative industries, with the broader goal of driving tourism, investment, and cultural pride.
