'Correct': God didn't ask me to feature King Paluta but I asked for his blessing – Joyce Blessing

Gospel star Joyce Blessing has clarified she did not feature Hiplife star King Paluta on her latest song under divine direction.

She spoke to Taller Dee on Journey to Heaven on No.1 FM, 105.3.

“God did not instruct me to feature King Paluta, but we commit into God’s hands whatever we do, also,” Joyce Blessing said.

“I will no deceive you by saying God expressly told me to do it. But I committed it to God by prayer.”

The Victory hitmaker said in her prayer she told God, “This is a thanksgiving song I am dedicating to you. So bless it for me.”

With the release of Correct featuring King Paluta, Joyce Blessing finds herself back on defence as some people in the Christian community and Gospel music fraternity see her choice of collaborator as controversial.

She fought a similar fight when she released Victory, and it was revealed Highlife/Afrobeats star Kuami Eugene wrote and produced the number.

For many Christians, Gospel and secular musicians collaborating is inappropriate since Gospel is regarded as sacred. Futhermore, the lifestyles and music themes of secular musicians are often demonstrably at variance with Christian teaching.
