Dec. 7 polls: Prince David Osei argues 'greedy' Mahama's due for retirement, urges votes for 'new person' Bawumia
Movie star Prince David Osei has intimated former President John D. Mahama is a typical greedy African leader.
Writing on X, Osei outlined the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer Mahama had been a member of parliament for 12 years, a deputy minister for four years, a minister for four years, a vice president for four years, a president for four years, and a former president for eight years.
In view of this, Osei argued it was time for Mahama to step aside for someone new to lead the country instead of seeking a comeback.
He pointed to the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia as the presidential candidate who was appropriate to lead Ghana for the next four years, casting him as a figure who represented a new world of possibilities, compared to Mahama who, in Osei's view, was due for retirement.
"Still former President Mahama want[s] to be president again," Osei said. "The greediness of some African leaders must never be encouraged."

"Let’s all vote for [a] new person. Let’s vote for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia #1," Prince David Osei encouraged.
