Dr Likee, McBrown and Akrobeto headline major Ghanaian variety show in London
Ghana’s creative arts industry is set for another international spotlight moment as Dr. Likee Live prepares to make its global debut in London on May 22, 2026, bringing a mix of comedy, music and theatre to UK audiences.
The event will be staged at Indigo at The O2 and is expected to deliver a full-scale showcase of Ghanaian storytelling, humour and performance culture, particularly for the strong Ghanaian diaspora community in the city.
Cultural showcase
Billed as a vibrant cultural variety production, the show will blend stage drama, stand-up comedy and live music into an immersive theatrical experience. Organisers describe it as both an entertainment event and a celebration of Ghana’s growing influence on the global creative scene. London has been chosen as the first international stop ahead of plans to tour other major cities worldwide.
Dr. Likee leads the charge
At the centre of the production is Dr. Likee, one of the most recognisable faces in the Kumawood film industry and digital comedy space. Known for his hugely popular YouTube skits and relatable humour drawn from everyday Ghanaian life, the comedian is transitioning from screen to stage for a live international audience.

Star-studded lineup
The show will also feature musical performances from Afrobeats star Wendy Shay and award-winning rapper Medikal, both expected to bring high-energy sets to the night.
On the theatrical side, celebrated actors including Nana Ama McBrown, Akrobeto, Papa Kumasi and Vivian Jill will take to the stage for a drama performance highlighting the humour, emotion and authenticity that define Ghanaian cinema.
Beyond entertainment
Organisers say the production is more than just a show — it is a cultural statement aimed at projecting Ghanaian creativity onto the global stage by fusing traditional theatre with modern music and comedy.
When the curtain rises on May 22, London audiences will not only witness a performance, but a dynamic celebration of Ghana’s artistic excellence.
