A renowned gospel musician and preacher, Pastor Isaiah Fosu-Kwakye Jnr, has expressed disappointment over what he describes as a growing contradiction between Ghana’s Christian identity and the country’s worsening levels of corruption.

Speaking in a recent interview on Accra-based NO 1 FM Gospel showbiz hosted by Taller Dee, Pastor Fosu-Kwakye questioned the moral integrity of a nation that prides itself on being deeply religious yet continues to struggle with widespread dishonesty and moral decay.

“Ghana claims to be a Christian nation, but the corruption speaks volumes,” he declared.

“We quote scriptures, hold crusades, and fill churches every Sunday, but the truth is that our national character does not reflect the Christ we claim to serve.”

The pastor lamented that despite the proliferation of churches across the country, corruption continues to affect public institutions, private businesses, and even religious circles.

He called for sincere repentance and a renewed commitment to integrity among Christians, particularly those in leadership positions.

He further emphasised that the true measure of Christianity is not in religious titles or public displays of faith, but in everyday conduct and moral responsibility.

“We cannot continue to preach holiness and live in hypocrisy,” he warned.

“Until we align our actions with our faith, Ghana will remain religious but not righteous.”
