'I Feel So Blessed': EL enters new era with Sony Music Publishing deal, promises fresh music and new vibes
Ghanaian rapper, singer and producer EL has announced that he has joined "the Sony Music Publishing family", describing the move as an "exciting" milestone in his career.
He shared the news in a video posted on Facebook, filmed inside a recording studio where he appeared to be working while an artist recorded in the booth behind him.
Clearly thrilled about the development, EL said, "I'm so excited, I feel so blessed."
The award-winning musician also expressed appreciation to his supporters, acknowledging the role they have played in sustaining his journey and strengthening his position in the industry.
"Thank you guys for holding me down all these years," he said.
EL added that fans should expect fresh material under the new agreement, promising a new phase of creativity.
"Looking forward to straight up new music, new vibes," he said.
The 2016 Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year concluded the message by emphasising his love and gratitude to his followers.
Sony Music Publishing is one of the world’s largest music publishing companies, managing songwriting rights, licensing, royalties and global distribution for thousands of artists and composers.
For an African artist of EL’s stature, a deal with the company provides stronger international exposure, professional publishing administration, access to global collaborations, and improved revenue collection from streaming, radio, film and other platforms.
The partnership is expected to expand EL's reach beyond local and continental markets while strengthening the business side of his music career.
EL is one of the most influential Hiphop and Afrobeats artists in contemporary Ghanaian music history.
