Gospel musician and preacher, Pastor Isaiah Fosu-Kwakye Jnr, has opened up about the emotional pain that comes with being dishonoured in Ministry, describing how discouraging it can be for men and women of God who serve faithfully.

Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Number One FM 105.3 with Taller Dee, the gospel artiste shared personal experiences that highlighted the lack of respect some ministers endure, even after dedicating their time and gifts to God’s work.

According to him, one of the most disheartening moments in his ministry was being handed a bounced cheque after ministering at a programme, an act he described as deeply painful and disrespectful.

“It is painful to feel dishonoured in ministry even to the point of receiving a bounced cheque,” he said.

“There are times you give your all to bless people, but the treatment you get in return makes you question whether your labour is truly valued.”

Pastor Fosu-Kwakye stressed that ministry is not a business venture but an act of service to God.

However, he said, honour and integrity must guide how people treat those who serve in God’s vineyard.

He urged churches, event organisers, and Christian leaders to show appreciation and fairness to ministers, emphasising that acts of neglect or dishonesty can discourage genuine servants of God from continuing their work.

The interview has since sparked conversation on social media about the need for transparency, respect, and appreciation in Ghana’s gospel and ministry space, with many fans and believers expressing solidarity with the pastor’s sentiments.
