Kafui Dey bids farewell to GTV Breakfast after four remarkable years

Renowned broadcaster and media personality Kafui Dey has officially announced his departure from GTV Breakfast, marking the end of a memorable four-year journey with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC).
In a heartfelt statement shared on Thursday, Kafui Dey confirmed that he would be stepping away from the popular morning show, which he joined on August 2, 2021.
His announcement was met with warm messages of appreciation from viewers and colleagues across the media landscape.
“After four incredible years, it is time,” he wrote. “Today, I step away from #GTVBreakfast—a journey that began on August 2nd, 2021.”
Kafui expressed deep gratitude to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation and its Director-General for the opportunity, as well as to his co-presenters, producers, directors, crew, and the social media team.
He also thanked all the guests who appeared on the show during his tenure.
“To everyone who supported me—thank you,” he stated.
“For the highs, the lows, and the memories, I’m truly thankful.
If I ever offended anyone, please forgive me.”
While this marks the end of his chapter with GTV Breakfast, Kafui hinted that this is not a final farewell: “This isn’t goodbye. Just the end of a chapter.
I believe our paths will cross again—and when they do, we will create even more beautiful memories.”
Kafui Dey, known for his eloquence, professionalism, and warm on-screen presence, has had an extensive career in media, events hosting, and public speaking.
His next move remains under wraps, but followers are already anticipating his return in a new capacity.
