Majid Michel rejects pastor tag: “I am a teacher, not ordained”
Renowned Ghanaian actor and vocal spiritual advocate, Majid Michel, has once again set the record straight about his religious identity, firmly distancing himself from the title of pastor that is often attached to his name.
Speaking in a candid interview shared on X on January 16, 2026, Majid addressed the widespread assumption that he leads a church or holds pastoral authority.
According to him, the label is a creation of the media and public perception, not a reflection of reality.
“I’ve said it many times. The media made me a pastor. I was never ordained,” he stressed.
Rather than being seen as a pastor, the award-winning actor says he prefers to be recognised as a teacher of the Word of God. He noted that his spiritual engagements are driven by a personal calling to teach and share biblical principles, not by any formal religious office or ordination.
His clarification comes at a time when public discussions continue around celebrities involved in spiritual teachings and the often-blurred lines between religious influence and official ministry roles.
Majid’s remarks serve as a reminder of the importance of distinguishing personal spiritual calling from formal church leadership.
