IGP promotes 2 officers and commends 5 others from Tema Regional Police Command
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has promoted two police officers from the Tema Regional Police Command to their next ranks and awarded letters of commendation to five others for their dedication and professionalism in the line of duty.
The promotions were granted in recognition of the officers’ exemplary service, discipline, and strong commitment to operational excellence. According to the Ghana Police Service, the decision reflects the leadership’s appreciation for hard work and consistent performance.
In addition to the promotions, letters of commendation were presented to five officers whose conduct and professional output were deemed deserving of special recognition. Their actions, the Service noted, demonstrated integrity, diligence, and a high sense of responsibility.
The commendation and promotion exercise forms part of the Ghana Police Service’s broader strategy to motivate personnel, promote professionalism, and reward excellence across all police commands nationwide.
The police service reaffirmed its commitment to recognising merit and fostering a culture of dedication, integrity, and effective service delivery to the public, noting that such initiatives are key to strengthening morale and improving policing outcomes.
