Marriage and ministry: Piesie Esther thanks God for 'gift of understanding husband'
Piesie Esther has underlined how resourceful her husband’s support has been for her Gospel career.
“I thank God immensely for giving me a husband who understands the work of God,” she proudly told Taller Dee on No.1 105.3 FM’s Gospel Showbiz programme.
“He is with me in everything that I do,” she emphasised.
The Gospel star asserted the importance of having a partner who understood one’s work.
“When someone appreciates the nature and demands of your work, they can understand all that you do,” she explained, intimating this kept the peace and enhanced the relationship instead of breaking it down.
The award-winning singer was reacting to how an unsupportive partner could derail one’s ministry, especially a woman’s, given that in Christian thought, a wife must submit to her husband's authority.
She testified the harmony and support she enjoyed in her marriage was as a result of “God’s mercy and grace”.
Piesie Esther said her husband, Enoch, of 15 years “goes and comes with me” everywhere her work took her.
She said they were unified in “hunger” or abundance, “and this helps keep problems away”.
