A prayer gathering led by Papa Shee in support of Akosua Serwaa, widow of late highlife legend Daddy Lumba, has sparked mixed reactions on social media after videos from the event began circulating online.

The three-day intercessory crusade commenced on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Obra Spot.

The programme was reportedly organised to offer spiritual support and prayers for Akosua Serwaa as funeral preparations for her late husband continue.

Footage from the opening session showed Papa Shee leading fervent prayers and deliverance sessions.

In some of the widely shared clips, several participants appeared visibly emotional—some were seen crying, while others fell during moments of intense prayer.

Despite the dramatic scenes, videos from the venue suggested a modest turnout, with a number of empty seats visible.

This has prompted some social media users to question the level of public interest in the event.

The gathering has generated debate online, particularly around Papa Shee’s role in leading the spiritual exercise, given that he is popularly known for his music career.

Reports further indicate that Akosua Serwaa was not present at the opening session.

Sources say she had returned to Germany, where she is currently based.
