Mr Drew ‘still thinking about’ record deal after unnamed label circled back

Mr Drew has revealed there is a record deal he is currently considering.
The Afropop star did not disclose the name of the record company and what type of deal it was offering, speaking on MX24 TV.
He, however, indicated it is a company that once reached out to him and has returned, hoping for a more favourable answer from the serial hitmaker who recently became an independent artiste.
“We had had a talk in the past years but, you know. They came back and were like: ‘Right now we have one slot to focus more on [an] artiste. A new artiste. So what’s your mind?’” he said.
According to Mr Drew, the unnamed record label meant one of the artistes on their roster had left and created a room for a new one.
“There’s a slot there, basically,” he emphasised. “But I’m still thinking about it.”
The singer and dancer born Andrew Nii Commey Otoo became famous while on record producer and music executive Kaywa’s Highly Spiritual record label. He had been signed after appearing on the 2017 MTN Hitmaker reality TV show. He, however, exited in 2022 after “my contract ended”.
Since, he has released two hits: Case Remix featuring Mophty and his latest Sneaky.
