Mr Eazi and King Promise open up on 13-year friendship and periodic fallouts
Ghanaian singer King Promise and Nigerian Afrobeats star Mr Eazi have reflected on their long-standing 13-year friendship, describing a bond shaped by both closeness and occasional distance.
Speaking in an interview on 3FM on April 15, 2026, the two artists opened up about the highs and lows of their relationship, revealing that they once went nearly two years without communicating due to a disagreement.
King Promise explained that their friendship has never followed a fixed pattern, noting that there are times they speak frequently and other periods where they barely communicate. However, he emphasized that reconciliation always comes naturally whenever they reconnect.
“Sometimes we talk almost every day, and other times we can go weeks without saying a word.
But whenever we reconnect, it feels great,” he said.
He further added that their experiences reflect the reality of many friendships, which often include misunderstandings and disagreements but remain intact because of underlying trust and affection.
“We go through what every friendship goes through—arguments, disagreements—but at the end of the day, the bond remains. The love is still there. Even if we’re upset, we know that if one of us needs the other, we’ll pick up the phone and move past whatever issue is at hand,” he noted
