Ja Rule has embarked on a philanthropic journey in Ghana, initiating the construction of a six-unit classroom block at Nuaso Anglican Primary School in the Eastern Region.

Partnering with US non-profit organisation Pencils of Promise, Ja Rule aims to enhance educational opportunities for students in the region.

Addressing attendees at the groundbreaking ceremony, Ja Rule expressed his gratitude to the Ghanaian community for welcoming him and allowing him to contribute to education in the legendary West African country. He emphasised the importance of education as the foundation of any community and pledged his commitment to support educational initiatives in Ghana.

Ja Rule in January hinted at his visit and the school project.

Prior to the groundbreaking ceremony, Wednesday, April 10, 2024, Ja Rule and his wife, Aisha Atkins, paid homage to Ghana's first president, Dr Kwame Nkrumah, visiting his the newly remodelled Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Accra. They expressed admiration for Nkrumah's vision and dedication to Ghana's independence struggle. 

Additionally, the couple visited Krobo Odumase, where they engaged with community leaders and further solidified their commitment to supporting local initiatives.

The Hiphop star's initiative to construct a classroom block at Nuaso Anglican Primary School highlights the importance of collaborations between Africa and its diaspora. It also demonstrates the power of a celebrity using his influence to promote productive initiatives, fostering education and development. Through partnerships with organisations like Pencils of Promise, Ja Rule hopes to inspire positive change and create lasting opportunities for students in Ghana.
