Okyeame Kwame: I was first to tongue-twist in Ghana
Okyeame Kwame, alias OK, has outlined what makes Sarkodie exceptional.
The Hiplife icon was on 3FM’s midmorning programme when host Blakk Rasta asked what rapper Sarkodie had over him.
“He has youth, a lot of passion,” OK responded.
Also, the rapper, singer-songwriter and author observed “it is highly probable Sarkodie is the most awarded rapper in African history”.

He posited Sarkodie’s prominence is due to his diligent study of the greats that preceded him.
“You know they say hindsight vision is 2020. He has all our experiences, you know, myself, Reggie Rockstone, Okyeame Quophi, Swazy B, Asaase Pa. He had 10 years to study what we were doing to perfect it [and] create his own. He stands on our shoulders,” Okyeame Kwame explained.
He also noted, “It is highly possible that I was the first person to tongue-twist in Ghana.”
“Even as way back as 1992 I was tongue-twisting. Lord Kenya will be my witness,” Okyeame Kwame added.
