Popcaan clears the air: Not booked for Bhimfest 2025 performance
Jamaican Dancehall sensation Popcaan has dismissed reports claiming he is set to perform at Stonebwoy’s 2025 Bhimfest in Ghana, clarifying that he has not been booked for the event.
Speculation about his participation surged earlier this week after promotional fliers began circulating on social media, listing Popcaan as part of the lineup for the highly anticipated concert scheduled for December 26, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, the “Unruly Boss” set the record straight, assuring his Ghanaian fan base that they would be the first to know whenever an official performance is confirmed.
“To the loyal Unruly fans in Ghana, I have no knowledge of me performing in Ghana on Dec 26.
Whenever I’m performing, you will all know — and it will be a celebration and a lifestyle moment that is long overdue,” Popcaan wrote.
Bhimfest, established by Ghanaian Afro-Dancehall star Stonebwoy, is one of West Africa’s premier music festivals, celebrating African and Caribbean unity through music and culture.
The annual event has previously featured international acts such as Busy Signal, Beenie Man, and Spice.
In response to the circulating flyers, Stonebwoy’s management team clarified that no official artist lineup has yet been announced, adding that promotional activities for Bhimfest 2025 will formally begin on November 1, 2025.
The team urged fans to rely on verified sources for updates on the event, promising an exciting lineup once official announcements are made.
