Sarkodie promotes 'beautiful' social media hygiene, shares his routine

Rap heavyweight and businessman Sarkodie has urged his followers to consider some social media hygiene.
He revealed how he went by his, hoping to inspire his audience.
He said it was his regular habit to "pick and choose" what he consumed and concentrated on.
He said he avoided "unnecessary" content on the timeline, be it text or visuals.
The Saara hitmaker said he gave no room to distractions whenever he used any social media platform, focusing only on why he logged on in the first place, and exiting the moment he was done.
Sarkodie indicated this routine had proven to be a "beautiful" development in his life, yielding great results enough to cause him to promote the regimen.
"It’s crazy how I pick and choose where to channel my energy. I can go 10 years scrolling past 'unnecessary' stories, videos, etc., on social media, without ever clicking to watch or read them. I only come online for what I’m truly interested in… Try it, it’s beautiful," he wrote on his Facebook, today, Thursday, October 16, 2025.
Social media hygiene is managing one's online presence and activities for the sake of security, one's image, and mental well-being. It involves securing one's accounts against phishing, reviewing and limiting personal information shared, and being mindful of what and who one consumes and interacts with online.
The practice can greatly improve one's mental health, and both build and protect one's reputation.
