NDC urges disgruntled NPP members to join United Party

A Communications Team Member of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Richard Nii Aryee, has called on sympathisers and members of the  New Patriotic Party (NPP) who feel disappointed in the party’s current direction to cross over to the newly-formed United Party.

According to him, any Ghanaian who genuinely seeks the progress and well-being of the country should not continue to associate with the NPP, which he claims has lost touch with its founding principles and the needs of ordinary citizens.

“If you truly love Ghana and you are currently a member of the NPP, then the best decision is to join the United Party,”

Mr. Aryee argued that the United Party presents a more credible alternative for Ghanaians seeking unity, accountability, and a renewed focus on national development.

He further noted that the NPP has failed to deliver on its pledges to citizens and has instead become a vehicle for internal division and dissatisfaction among its own supporters.

He made this appeal, speaking on the Saturday edition of the Citizens' show on Accra 100.5 FM  hosted by Dr Kofi Annan

His comments come amid growing internal agitation within the NPP and the emergence of new political movements seeking to realign Ghana’s political landscape ahead of future elections.

The United Party, constituted by disaffected former members of the NPP, positions itself as a reformist political force with the stated goal of restoring integrity and grassroots accountability in governance.
