Serwaa Amihere wants to interview Akufo-Addo because 'he has a lot of questions to answer'
Broadcaster journalist Serwaa Amihere has said she wants to host former President Nana Akufo-Addo next on her TV show after sitting down with many a public figure.
“Certainly, I think he has a lot of questions to answer. I think he needs to tell us a lot of things. I want to have a conversation with him because, you know, I’ve hosted President Mahama before. I haven’t hosted the [immediate] former Vice President [Mahamudu Bawumia] before but I want to speak with Nana Addo,” she explained to Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM’s Ayekoo Ayekoo.
The GHOne TV star recalled she had once asked “Nana Addo two questions” at his “meet the press” when he first became president in 2017. Since then, however, she had not had another opportunity.
She refrained from citing questions she was interested in asking the former head of state.
For entertainment, she said she had hosted the biggest names except rap heavyweight Sarkodie.
She joked she had not yet hosted Kojo Antwi, too, because “you know I am a Daddy Lumba girl”.
Ms Amihere said she frequently listened to Kojo Antwi and she loved him “but I don’t think there’s anyone like Daddy Lumba”.
She explained she loved how diverse Daddy Lumba’s music catalog was, having music for every instance or situation in life, while his fellow Highlife stars usually focus on love and very few themes.
