Shatta Wale visits Charterhouse in move of gratitude, smokes peace pipe
Reggae/Dancehall star Shatta Wale in a surprising move has visited Charterhouse Productions, the organisers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs).
In photos following the visit, the singer was seen posing for a photo and in a hearty conversation with the Chief Executive Officer of Charterhouse, Theresa Ayoade.
Shatta Wale visited in the company of fellow musician Medikal. Wale's team was present, also, including his public relations (PR) executive Sammy Flex Baah.
Mrs Ayoade received the team together with her PR executive Robert Klah, and others.
Wale's purpose was to express his gratitude to Mrs Ayoade for Charterhouse's collaboration, logistical support, and overall contribution to the smooth and successful execution of his historic 2025 Shatta Fest held at the Black Star (Independence) Square, Accra, drawing tsunamic numbers estimated between a humble 300,000 and a boastful 600,000.
Mrs. Ayoade congratulated Shatta Wale and his team for an event which has been roundly praised as a landmark in his career and in Ghana's events and entertainment history.

Charterhouse joining produce Shatta Fest, and Shatta Wale visiting the company signalled a rift healed. The musician has been a bitter critic of the awards scheme, which is Ghana's biggest, for many years. Since 2019, when he infamously clashed with rival Stonebwoy on stage, with the latter showing a gun in claimed defence, Wale has exempted himself from the show.
That year, the Artiste of the Year winner was not announced, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy being prominent nominees. It was a punitive move, as it was a strategic move to calm tensions among two of the most competitive music brands and camps in Ghanaian music history, also.
Looking to the future, Shatta Wale showed optimism about more collaborations with Charterhouse during his visit on Friday, October 24, 2025.
The multiple award-winning musician's potential return to the TGMAs, will be another feather in his cap this year, and certainly a marketing boost for the prestigious scheme.
