Spotify Wrapped: Sonnie Badu draws criticism: 'Gospel artist listening to many 'worldly' songs'

It is that time again, where streaming giant Spotify reveals to its subscribers what their listening pattern has been for the year in what is called Spotify Wrapped.
Gospel star Sonnie Badu has shared what appears to be his on X, attracting a wave of criticism.
"We are back," he captioned it.

The Rock Hill founder and leader's critics accused him of listening to artistes and music which are unbecoming of a Gospel musician, particularly a pastor.
According to Spotify, Dr Sonnie Badu's go-to genre was Afrobeats in 2023, spending 43,040 minutes on the music and podcast platform.
His favourite artistes for 2023 had Sarkodie at the very top, followed by Black Sherif, Stonebwoy, Burna Boy, and Sonnie Badu.
Meanwhile, his favourite songs were: Confession by Kinaata, Run by Black Sherif, Nukedzor (What's Up) by Stonebwoy ft Joey B and Abra Cadabra, Butta My Bread by JZyNo ft Lasmid, and Patek by Mr Eazi ft Joey B & DJ Tarico.
In the comments, under the post, X users expressed consternation at a Gospel musician "listening to many 'worldly' songs".
A user commended the singer-songwriter and author for supporting the music of his compatriots but worried why the the list lacked Gospel musicians.
