Trinity International University of Ambassadors (TIUA) has denied issuing a degree to Ghanaian gospel musician Sonnie Badu within four months.

In a statement, the school indicated that its courses are not structured to be able to award degrees within four months.

“Therefore, any degree that has been earned by our students (including Dr Sonnie Badu) are in alignment with the State of Georgia religious exemption authority to receive degrees from associates to doctoral degrees".

“Our institution prides itself in the quality of education tailored for each of our students i.e. .including their extensive body of work in ministry.

"Therefore, no student can obtain any major degrees including a PHD in four months.

"TIUA did not issue any earned degrees to a student in a four-month period.

"Every earned degree must be obtained through hard work and with the time prescribed by the University,” the statement further noted.

The gospel minister came under harsh criticism earlier this week after he displayed three degrees he claimed to have obtained in four months from the Trinity International University of Ambassadors.

Sonnie Badu is an award-winning Ghanaian gospel musician with hit songs such as ‘Baba’, ‘Wonder God’ among others, to his credit.
