Why Salma Mumin doesn’t idolise celebrities

Actress and businesswoman Salma Mumin has said she does not like to idolise celebrities.
She explained to Nana Romeo on Okay FM it was because she had experienced fame as a teenager.
“The thing is I got into the limelight very early, while I was still in secondary school, so I experienced the celebrity life from the very beginning. Due to this, there’s no celebrity I’d say I am so enchanted by I’d send a DM,” Salma said.
“Yeah, I like people, I admire them from afar, I follow them, comment on their posts and all that but I’ve not picked a phone to DM any.”
She revealed, however, that “countless celebrities” had approached her in the DMs.
“Some want to do business, some want to be friends,” she explained further, insisting on keeping their names private.
The conversation had been occasioned by Salma stating “there’s no need” to send football icon Cristiano Ronaldo a DM “because he may never see it”.
“What am I going to do in a married man's DM?” she added, laughing.
Portuguese Ronaldo is a star greatly admired and followed by the Ghanaian actress.
Recently, Salma had revealed if she had to switch lives with anyone, it would be Ronaldo's partner Georgina.
“She's on yachts everyday, travelling via private jet, she has all the brands, she's living her best life, she's got her kids, and of course her husband is the best player in the world. What else could she ask for? And he's a very handsome guy to begin with,” she explained.
