Renowned media personality and tourism advocate Abeiku Santana has been appointed as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA).

His appointment comes as part of the government's effort to strengthen the tourism sector and position Ghana as a leading destination for both local and international visitors.

Abeiku Santana, known in private life as Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey, has been a strong advocate for tourism development in Ghana, using his platform as a broadcaster and entrepreneur to promote the country's rich cultural heritage, festivals, and hospitality industry.

With years of experience in media, marketing, and tourism promotion, Abeiku Santana brings a wealth of expertise to his new role.

He is a certified tourism consultant and has played a key role in initiatives such as the "Year of Return" and "Beyond the Return" campaigns, which boosted Ghana’s tourism industry.

His appointment aligns with President John Dramani Mahama’s vision to expand Ghana’s tourism industry, create jobs, and attract more investment into the sector.

As Deputy CEO, Abeiku Santana is expected to spearhead innovative tourism campaigns, improve stakeholder collaborations, and enhance Ghana's global tourism appeal.
