Asanteman Council to convene at Manhyia Palace on August 11
The Asanteman Council will hold a formal meeting on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the historic Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, following a directive from His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene.
According to an official invitation issued by the Registrar of the Kumasi Traditional Council, the session will commence promptly at 10:00 a.m. and will bring together key traditional leaders and stakeholders.
The meeting will be attended by all members of the Asanteman Council, divisional heads of the Kumasi Traditional Council (KTC), and other invited parties as determined by the leadership.
While the specific agenda has not been disclosed, gatherings of the Asanteman Council typically address matters of chieftaincy, development, and unity within Asanteman, as well as issues affecting the broader Ashanti Region.
The Manhyia Palace remains the ceremonial and administrative seat of the Asantehene, serving as a focal point for major decisions impacting the Ashanti Kingdom.
