CMG collaborates with NCC to promote Ghana's heritage

The Class Media Group (CMG), in conjunction with its subsidiaries across the nation, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Commission on Culture (NCC) to further the promotion of Ghana's rich cultural heritage.
This collaboration aims to engage people from around the world in conversations, agendas, and various strategies that the NCC has successfully employed over the years.
Acting Deputy of the NCC Dr. Richardson Kommey Fio, emphasised the importance of human dignity, asserting that every individual possesses a sense of pride and value that should be respected by others.
He indicated the need to research and document the diverse concepts of dignity from various ethnic groups and engage young people in educational institutions with this knowledge.
Dr. Fio also expressed the determination of the NCCE to achieve its goals, stressing that the organsiation's effectiveness would reduce the need for a personal prosecutor.
The Head of the Visual Arts Department of the Culture and Creative Arts Directorate, Nana Walters, on his part stressed the importance of valuing people for who they are, rather than their material possessions.
He also noted that many traditional areas are eager to partner with the NCC in celebrating their festivals, highlighting the boundless possibilities and potential that can be realised through the collaboration between CMG and the NCC.
The Chairman of the NCC Nana Otuo Owoahene Acheampong, shared his vision for the future, emphasising the importance of human resource development among the organisation's staff across the country.
He pointed out the significance of capacity building and continuous orientation for leaders, stressing their duty and calling to serve.
The NCC Chairman also highlighted the infrastructural development underway across the country, particularly in the tenfold regions, including the construction of main theaters.
The Chairman stressed the value of partnerships and collaborations, including discussions with sister agencies under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, as well as meetings with ambassadors from various embassies to foster cultural exchanges and skill development.
He also mentioned upcoming events, such as the “abrokyere Bronya” in Italy, organised in partnership with the Asanteman Council in Italy, and the “Beyond NAFAC @60” event scheduled to take place in Techiman, the capital of the Bono East Region.
He further mentioned the formation of a committee for planning and organisation, stressing the organisation's dedication to its mission.
